Hey guys!

Check out this awesome horror game, it has been in development for two years.
I have intel that this game will have Oculus Rift support as a stretch goal,
and the guys are very excited about it.

So many Kickstarters. I'm already funding a bunch.

When they add the Rift to it I will likely HAVE to join in. Until then I'll just keep it on my radar.

At this point rift support seems to be relegated to some suggestions by backers on the chat so will take a "wait and see" approach. To say it's a rift supported game on kickstarter when...it isn't... seems kinda misleading.

Thats me saying that. I dont know how much merit I have on this forum, but I know for a FACT that Oculus Rift support will be a stretch goal.
They demoed the rift alpha support to Palmer at GDC with my handbuilt HMD.

You can take my word for it if its worth anything.

Ahh cool. It means something when you provide those details. The first thing I looked for when I went to the kickstarter page was any reference to the rift which I didn't see other then the forums.

I remember watching their early video a few weeks ago. I'm definitely a fan. I'm just trying to limit how much money I'm throwing at Kickstarter.

If you say it will be a Stretch goal then I am in.

Nothing against your words, but if there is no mention of Rift in their description, so I take it that they are NOT THAT serious about it. And keep it only on the fringe of there stretch goals. I would rather back other games that are profoundly more pro-rift, and are not afraid of stating it.

I am just saying, that they do not mention Rift on kickstarter. And from my point of view it is not good. Save good stuff for later? For when? People will just look at this once and go away, just like I did a while ago.

Its pretty common to use stretch goals to get more funds, and the fact that they will put Rift as a stretch goal shows how much they believe in it.
It wont be an exclusive, but they are definitely serious about it.

This looks like a perfect game for the rift. It would be a crime if it gets made without rift support.

With that said...Kkckstarter games with oculus rift support are gonna be the death of my bank account.

I fully understand! Remember there are more ways to help than pledging money tho!
Twitter, facebook, word'o'mouth etc all helps if you believe in this game for Rift.

Well after watching the 51 second demo i instantly see this is going to be a bad ass game
$200,000goal seems to be a long stretch but hey £20,000 in the first day isnt bad going.
And i would be absolutly amazed if they wasnt to intergrate rift support for it

I saw this one a while ago and thought it looked very promising. I love the premise. I'll be keeping an eye on the kickstarter, but I'll wait with supporting until I see some more information....

Smaller IPD in terms of camera distance in the game makes a huge difference yes. But in terms of where the center of each image on the actual screen is it needs to match your actual IPD.
We played around with that in Among The Sleep when implementing the Rift support alpha, and it really works.

No, I have nothing to do with their project other that I visited them and got them hyped for Rift.
We established a good relationship and I decided to hire them as a third party to help on my Virtual Cinema/lounge project.

I am just helping them spread their word on their awesome game, as it was the reason I got in contact with them in the first place.
I gain nothing from this campaign financially, in fact I pledged 500 dollars on their kickstarter just because I know how awesome it will be on Rift.

On monday I am going back to their studio to show them the potential of Razer Hydra, and we will start working more steadily on my own project
and sign a more official contract.

Thanks! this video sold me.it looks really cool, definately something i will back...i had seen pewdiepie do a play-through of the 1st level (alpha version) but had to turn the sound off (hate that guy)

I've backed it, knowing that they plan to announce their stretch goals this next week and that the first will be Oculus Rift. Hopefully the goal will be within reach, and given their current amount raised I don't see it being a problem unless it is extraordinarily higher.

Been following this game for a while, good to see the KS succeeding.

With regards to Rift and this game, I remember someone saying when they initially made Doom 3 compatible with the Rift the player had a sense of being about 4ft tall because of the proportions of the environment or just general suboptimal rift settings. That's something I can see working really well with Among The Sleep.
