Q: Requesting guidance for 'Dear Esther' Rift demonstration

Post by TheHolyChicken »

Hi guys,

I'm going to be giving a special demonstration of the Rift soon, and I'd very much like to be able to show 'Dear Esther'. However, my attempt at getting it to work with Virieo was mixed. It technically worked, but I found the results uninspiring; my vertical FOV was very small, and it just didn't feel as good as something like Tuscany. If anyone has had greater success, and can give me some pointers, I would be very interested in hearing how they did it.

Cheers all

Enable developer console. Use "fov_desired 110".

I did that already I'm afraid. I'll see if I can get a screenshot of my output to show what I've got. Is there a particular build of Virieo I should use? It was a bit confusing to set up, as there seemed to be multiple versions floating around.

Don't use the latest, use the latest of the "old" one, its a lot more stable.
