Thanks THC, that article, and the follow ups and discussion it has caused, are one of the reasons I am thinking of a switch to nVidia despite the fact that, on paper, the clear choice for my price bracket right now is the 7950.

I think that frame rate consistency and total lack of skipping/stuck frames will be more important for VR than brute average framerate, especially once you get over 60fps.

I agree, thats a good article to read. And id love to see the performance test of gpu´s move away
from pure FPS scores. Its a welcome thing, really.
