ImmersiON-VRelia GO, Yet anoher DIVE/Cardboard.

Post by Dilip »

ImmersiON-VRelia GO, Yet another DIVE/Cardboard that interestingly doing nothing other then what humble cardboard too can do.
http://www.mtbs3d.com/index.php?option= ... &Itemid=73

Seemingly same as $30 color cross, some are gone dirt cheap as $20.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-Arri ... 59834.html

Some are offering even better models with more cushioning and ergonomics better mobile placing that too at $20. ;)
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/wholesal ... 06319.html

I even find few claiming 'RESIN Aspheric' @$24 tru steal deal.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-Shi ... 94061.html

My self experienced this.
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/New-PU-M ... 19263.html
work just fine, visually DK2 killer.

I lough out loud when i seen this crap,

http://www.phonearena.com/news/ARCHOS-V ... et_id61938
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/ ... -face.html

Great INNOVATION of ARCHOS, what is it....Re-branded Colorcross what else. for that they make you wait too.

I wonder why anyone would pay 90$ for ImmersiON-VRelia GO at almost no extra features other than slight better build over cardboard or colorcross
Even 4X aspheric loup cost just $20 for a pair.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/UltraOptix-4x-A ... 4adeffb28f
I feel aspheric Glass optics even less likely to be part of VRelia Go.

We need Smartphone VR Adepter with external ultra low power 6-axis accelerometer/gyroscope combination tracker that can interact with mobile hardware
through usb type Micro-B charging port just like GearVR and should be around $100, that is not locked on any specific mobile.

I actually got the "Original" Chinese built arcos thing, the mask is a little bit small (i think is a teenage oriented product) but with my samsung s4 optics seemed clear and no screendoor effect was noticeable. Lens are way better than the durovis dive. taht price is actually hones and if you just want a persoanl movie viewer or you are an occasional vr gamer is a n honest prduct.

Most likely Immersion's phone case will be better than the Chinese one you compared them with. They have been doing plenty R&D for their VRelia units, thus better grasp of what is needed. Does any other Phone case offer 120 FOV?

If Immersion's product phone independent, then FoV is much depending on kind of device u are using too. Like 4.5 inch device indeed will give lesser FoV then 5.5 or 6 inch devices. If that adepter give same FoV on 4" and 6" device it might be wasting pixels on 6" one.

Besides if they are offering higher FoV they are bound to be fallen back at display fidelity or crispness. What magic they can do for Cover+Optics for that matter even Zeiss VR one too, IMHO this are over priced things just because they are no no Chinese.

You are speculating on the units. Yes , the FOV depends on the size of the handset, still remain that if a 5.7-6.0 inch display can acquire 120 fov it is remarkable. If that is in fact true, it still better than any other cheap Chinese one. The problem remain regarding low level access to the phone internals, therefore creating fragmentation. All of this phone cases pretty much will make you vomit.

Also you are again speculating about the visual fidelity regarding resolution.

Visual fidelity and FoV are in inverse proportion to each other in rift like phone display magnifying adepters , proves cardboard. Also proves project Morpheus, isn't that reason Sony opted 90 Degree FoV to keep their 1080p screen punchy. There is nothing to speculate its cold hard truth.

Immersion adepter I would love to see detailed unbiased review. I still believe they are over expensive.

@Hannibalj2

You will love this news
http://www.roadtovr.com/samsung-gear-vr ... fvr-video/

Finally Samsung doing all it can to pull the triggers just right,
Still this will require basic stem unit as additional cost if i assumed right.

Revolutionary, if its all included in Gear VR tech & don't require additional basic stem unit purchase.
As Samsung is inviting stem to join Samsung for Gear VR not clarified though at which depth like just to support Gear VR as accessory or be integral part of Gear having dedicated components woven in (that can increase gear vr price even more)

Any way good news for one who believe in Gear VR. :)

Yup, I saw it a week or so ago. That will be very cool, however, expect to pay for the Sixsense separately. Including such technology as bundle only option will be make the Gear VR rather expensive!

The likely scenario is to sell the Headset and the Sixsense separately. The Stem is not cheap if I remember correctly.

Hi Everybody,

This is Ethan from ImmersiON-VRelia, I'm answering questions about The GO at http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=164&t=20588

There are a few things to note about our device that sets it apart from other experiences.

1) High quality optics. This is very important, not just concerning the FOV. High quality optics avoid abberations and distortions that end up needing to be corrected in software on lower quality products.

2) Individually adjustable IPD and Dioptric adjustment means each unit can be set to any particular users needs

3) The ability to support so many different phone types, for example, I use the LG G3, I really love this phone, and it sports a 2160x1440 screen. I took a lot of time researching before choosing the G3 over the Note 4 and I'm glad I did. Works great with our unit!

Please head over to that forum for any questions you may have.

Thanks!

Ethan
