Acer K132 LED Projector Nvidia 3D TV Play.

Facing interesting situation, New Egg has started shipping to india and i am very interested in purchasing 3D projector. As lamp changing is big investment and is recurrent cost i am enticed to go LED way. I have shortlisted this projector

but i am confused after reading reviews, Acer in particular is also not much responsive. I have few questions for community those who have much experience with 3d projectors.

1) Will this projector work with NVIDIA 3D TV PLAY software from my GTX660 if i give output over HDMI?
2) Will i need Nvidia 3D vision glasses or DLP link glasses are ok for NVIDIA 3D TV PLAY.
3) Are 600 Lumen enough for 80" 3d projection in dark room? Will i need to make it even smaller for good visibility in 3d?
4) Has any one tried Nvidia 3D Tv Play with LED projectors? How is overall quality? or do i have to go for Lamp Projectors only.

I think screen will help in retaining those 1/2 of 600 lumen in 3D mode thus less lumen can be coped up at 80" though i have no idea at all what to expect from 600 lumen specially this being my
first projector in life. also little disappointment to know that i require to keep my games at 1024X768.

Update: User guide manual says it does 1024x768@120hz frame sequential, its a 3D-Ready projector. Iffy 3d vision/play support

1. probably not, cause I checked acer.com and looked at their "acer k132 led (3d manual)"

2. I think you can use both but mostly the manual says use 3dtv play/but i'm not sure if they need to be certified 3dtv play and that you need to use dlp link glasses, yes dlp link glasses are okay. Technically anything that can go with "Frame Sequential" will work when the resolution is best at 1024x768@120hz with maybe "crt support" with Nvidia 3d vision or even forsure Tridef Ignition support.

3) Are 600 Lumen enough for 80" 3d projection in dark room? Will i need to make it even smaller for good visibility in 3d?
3. I looked at reviews on youtube and they said the picture quality was superb also with good color quality and that 600 lumens is good enough for dark room and somewhat daylight time. I did not see much review on the 3d stereoscopic feature, some people on newegg.com say it does 1024x768 3d, so I am not totally sure if it does 1280x800 120hz 3d but I think it would.

4. I have not used 3dtv play with an led projector, I use an acer h5360 3d vision projector with dlp link on a ps3 and NVidia computer with 3d vision. I think LED would give better color and be clearer.

With the lcd glasses making the 3d image darker, not so much with dlp link but you can just "move up the brightness and contrast", and gamma.

I cannot find out if this projector is forsure hdmi 1.4 and I think it really does do frame sequential, not sure if can do sideByside and Top/Bottom.

I would do more research and get definite answers to the 3d features. This projector would be worth it if the 3d was a solid feature.

Major advantage of being LED is light weight projector, super mobility (You can put in back pack and run show anywhere include small picnics with map style screen hanging on car )
and of course last but not least very low expense on longer run compared to lamp based projection.

Only down side is Lumen as my most reading enlightened me 3D in shutter cut down brightness to 1/2 may be newer better glasses cutting 40% still a big amount. That's why i opted for
something that is above 500 lumen so there remain playability in 3D as my rig is capable of that. 80" 3D screen is worth drooling over

Its expensive though at $705, 1000 lumen is just on par with lamp based ones. Important fact is its still smaller foot print and indeed economical on longer run. Just that its not 3D TV PLAY READY like this one which shouts on 3D features. Its economical too but then recurring lamp expenses are confirm.
