Shock proof sensors

Post by Mokibi »

Hey guys! I was curious to know if accelerometers (although I've heard they are sorta shock proof, if you raise its values really high) but then what about gyros and magnetometers? how much would it cost to make something shock proof?

any help would be greatly appreciated.....

thanks!

I'm not sure I understand. You are saying you want motion sensors to *not* detect certain motions?

oh haha lol, good point.

so then what about any error accumulated due to shock? do high levels of G's cause the IMU's to freak out? or dislodge a part or
mess with the internals of the device? I saw the gyro, and I saw the accelo, next i'll look for the magnetometer and see what happens to it.....

anything else I should know?
