DIY Rift question

Post by Gavincol78 »

This may sound strange or has been asked before but is there anyway of 'fooling' Windows into thinking that you have an Oculus Rift so that people like myself can try out the Oculus VR software on my Galaxy Note 3 from my PC or my upcoming project of using a 5.6" 1280x800 LCD with my ColorCross head unit, for example War Thunder has an option for the Oculus yet when you tick it without an Oculus it comes up with an error.

Hi, there is a way (STM32 discovery with rift firmware and edited EDID for your LCD) but its only (I hope just for now) for 0.3.x SDK builded stuff. With games/apps builded on 0.4.x it doesnt work.
