Awesome! And latency looks very good considering wireless!

Thanks guys for the feedback! So far the latency is pretty low, but a bit of it is due to the fact that I haven't found the perfect variable speed for unity yet. I'll probably increase it, and do a follow up video later. I need to upgrade my computer as well, I'm running this on a stock Mac mini using bootcamp/windows 7 with 2 gigs of ram :/ .

Looks pretty futuristic :P Does it do position tracking or just rotation? Seems like rotation could also be done by strapping a wiimote to the gun.

@usb247 the problem with the wiimote approach is over time its yaw values will drift. Since this imu uses a magnetometer, it corrects the drift given by the accelerometer and gyroscope sensors. So far I've only had to calibrate it once, and it's been good for the past few weeks. And with the next update, I'll show you the "fix" I have for positional tracking.

I love the cyberpunk meets Mad Max look of it myself, I wouldn't change the way it looks at all myself.

@WiredEarp and @Zoide thanks guys, your feedback really means a lot, I thought people forgot about this thread. I think the look is pretty cool too. I'm revising the design, and i'll make a video update soon within the next few weeks. The gun gives a decent amount of vibration/kick to let you know you're shooting, but its not necessarily where i'd like it to be yet. Either I need a stronger battery/solenoid, or more vibration motors.

Hi ya, love this project... I'm just wondering, if all those wires are connected to an Arduino feeding into Unity via Uniduino ?

If not have you checked out " Uniduino " ? ( a Unity Asset)

Great work... can't wait to see what you come out with next update.

Thanks @mickman I was considering using Uniduino at first, but I decided to not spend the money. I have a serial connection set up within a unity script file. And it rotates whatever object it is placed on. Also, around mid December I'll have a follow up video on my entire project, gun included. I'll probably start a new thread and put a link within this one.

Really impressive! Great to see you are moving forward with your own developments. Check out the new Razer Hydra replacement coming out. The extra sensors that it comes with could be handy for your positional and/or motion tracking.

Great work. So what's the plan for this project? Will it be a kit, Kickstarter, etc.?

@Cybereality
Thanks bro!
I am planning on doing a kickstarter this summer, right now I'm a one man team, but I think that may change very very soon (Deals are being worked on). Which will ensure for a better quality product.
