Ancjob writes like a child, but if you sift through all the taunts and insults I think he has some valid points.

There is a viable market for game-ready VR hardware, and Sony "dropped the ball" with the HMZ-T1 by not supporting that market very well. That decision seems even more shortsighted given the fact that Sony has so much invested in gaming and could have positioned the HMZ-T1 as the "companion" technology to the PlayStation. Sony lost a lot of momentum in the last round of motion technology to Nintendo and Microsoft. Moving in the direction of VR console gaming would have been a bold move on their part, and would have separated them from the pack and brought a lot more excitement to their offering and to gaming in general.

As it stands now, the technology in the HMZ-T1 is tantalizing. Sure it can be modified for a better fit and portability. But there is only an infinitesimal segment of the market that is willing to do that, so the VR gaming market will remain small and largely unsupported. Now imagine if Sony had designed the HMZ-T1 as their strategic vision for the PlayStation! What if game developers were sent Sony development platforms with an integrated HMD solution, and knew that there were going to be millions of these units in homes. Just think how cool the next generation of games would be if they were designed from the start for VR hardware!

I agree - but that is based on what if... I dream of that day, however that is day is not currently here... and we will make do with what we can.

The fact is he is bashing people for experimenting with their unit. I am counting down the days (2 to go lol) until I will own my unit. I can't wait to play with it, mod it, and have future fun with the all of the mods and hacks that individuals are using.

I will soon be a proud owner of the HMZ. If V2 comes out next year (and my country receives more that 150 units lol) I would not be surprised if I grab one of these as well if the improvement are that much better. If another option proves to be a better solution I will grab that...

I don't think you can fault anyone for buying a HMZ-t1. If an HMD was what you were after, what else is there to buy if picture quality and easy 3D compatability matters to you.
It seems to be a very, very big step up in image quality from anything before it.
I did not think they were really going to release it to the public.
I still need money to buy one but am still amazed they are really on the market for me to buy(when in stock). Just did not see it coming.

i have evg920e from ebay purchased a long time back they are so easy to use.....just set resolution to SVGA on PC and there you have the image but the image cannot compete with that of a good TV....and they are usb powered

and these new ones are quite expensiv
