Since it looks like Photoforms is behaving well for most everyone, it will be updated soon to give it a little more versatility.

The two bugs that have be brought to attention are,

- a line that sometimes appears diagonally across the screen. I've seen it myself, and can usually be remedied by reloading the picture 'o'.

- slowdown when another application is maximized or Photoforms is minimized. Still looking into this...

Hopefully, both of these problems will be fixed before the weekend and a new beta will be available. Also, along with the fixes, the mesh that the image is attached to will be much finer. This will allow much better edge control and resolution. The transform tool will also be toned down a little, since it is too sensitive.

If all goes well after that, Photoforms will move to it's release form and tools will begin to be added.

I hope everyone is enjoying the program,
h-bar

Hello h-bar,

since the new iZ3D glasses did not appear right to my vacation, I took my time instead to look into your transformer program.

To be true I did not have much expectation and after finally going around the startup problems I was faced with an extremely minimalistic user interface, no menus or toolbars, only a handful of hotkeys and some help text. So I was somewhat disappointed at first place.

What should I say, after some trying I was blown away by the results I could already achieve with very little effort! Never thought that a 2D to 3D conversion would be possible with only a single 2D photo as source and in such an easy way. But the effect is really amazing - and realistic.

Actually the one existing tool the program offers is sufficient for many conversions, though I had to learn how to use it. What really is missing is a multi level undo function and maybe some way to cut/fill the picture to get a rectangular frame, since that is mostly lost in the conversion process.

So please go on and make this program even better. Never thought that soemthing like that would be possible and working so well!
