Proto Awards at Oculus Connect

We had lots of fun at the inaugural Proto Awards.  Thomas Middleditch was a nice touch and everyone had a good time!  We got it all recorded, but there isn't enough bandwidth at he hotel to upload it yet.

Yes, the man is an ordained minister of VR.  Well, he really is a Reverend, and he has three marriages to his credit that have all continued to this day; so that's a good work reference right there (though Kyle did admit that one of those marriages was a "fake" wedding).

Still having fun!  Will report more later.

Hey Neil. It's Amin. Who? You may well ask! You probably don't remember me. We talked on the nVidia boards going way back. I clearly recall you asking me, who's going to get the ball rolling on this 3D stereoscopy gig. I replied, I guess it's going to have to be you. I'm not claiming any credit Neil, whatsoever. But you've since got the ball rolling big time. Really happy for you. Just to jog your memory a little more, we both played Far Cry co-op in 3D stereo, albeit briefly!

I got the impression that everything was to start later then it actually did today, so I missed the live feed entirely. Really looking forward to the upload in due course. Take care and have fun. :)

Thank you for the kind words!

I'm just grateful that MTBS became a means for some very bright people to get together and do some amazing things. There is a lot more I'd like to see happen, and I'm of course working to help facilitate some things - but it's very gratifying to know that our community proved useful in the end. We just have to continue as I think this is just the beginning.

Regards,
Neil
