Do you have a newer video card from Nvidia? I think they only support 3d on the newer types from 2008 and up.

I did see that chineese version but I think its a wired solution and it could work. I don't think anyone here bought it yet so I don't know what happens when its used yet. I actually checked and seems they don't sell them on ebay I think. Look here viewtopic.php?t=9990

I believe the 7000 cards will work with the old stereoscopic drivers in XP. Those will work with the Edimentional stuff and no 3dvision kit required.

Yes I know this, I am moving away from the old school solution and going new school. but I was trying to get a mix of old/new school equipment..

If I can get the nVidia working with the Projectors I have now I will save a bunch of money and can get some other things I been wanting.. ;)

OK with the new year here it is time for me to get busy with my NEW 3D Setup.. I last year bought Win 7 64Bit, I just bought a 470 GTX and the nVidia 3d Vision kit..

I will try getting this to work with my NON "3D" DLP Projectors..From what I have read here I should be able to get this to work??

I also read on another thread about a EDID Blocking cable, is this a special cable with the pin already removed or just a end users cable with the pin removed ie , one I would remove myself??

Well I have a Unique Problem. I use the Matrox TH2Go Setup and I need the Pin there to see the 3 screens. I did get to be able to select CRT Monitor I just fail after I enable the Glasses and perform the Left eye, Right eye Trick and then I get cancled??

Is there a reason I am failing the Left right eye test.. The 3D is enabled but yet I fail the test?? I select what I see and apparently is NOT what I am supposed to see hence the fail??

Does anybody that has this working on a Certified system tell me which boxes I am to select during the Left Eye Right Eye test??
Do I have to run at 85hz or will 75 Work?? I am confused to why this will not work??

I had the nVidia 3D test running in 3D mode with the glasses on and everything I just can not pass this damn test!!

OK I just fumbled about in the Left Eye , Right Eye test till I passed I think I got it..

I will need to do some testing and setting up of the convergance and such But it looks like I have succesfully done it..

I still could use someone to tell me the correct sequence in the Right , Left Eye test to right down for further Reference..

But it looks like I got it working !! I also did NOT have to remove the EDID PIN!! ;)

I think with some "un-certified" projectors the sync is wrong, so you have to wear the glasses upside-down.

OK in mt excitement I forgot to explain the Setup Process I went hrough to get it working..

I just uninstalled the nVidia Drivers as normal ran driver sweeper then insalled the new card first. I then reinstalled the drivers and got that all set. I then shut off and installed the 3D Vision glasses as directions was just 2 usb plugs and that was it. 1

1 USB is to recharge the glasses the other hooks to the wireless emitter..

I then went into Control panel and clicked the 3D Wizard it then ran me through a few selections of what my setup was like and you just click what I had.

the trick was the Right Eye Left Eye Test. You had to put the glasses on and close your right eye and look at the right image with the left eye look at the left image and select out of the 3 boxes what you see. well you have to click what you see in each box underneath then when both are selected you click next. this is the part I kept failing and 3D was not getting enabled..

WEll I took a chance that it was coming up wrong so I just redid the test till I passed selecting a few different combos of the box selection well the 3rd time I passed and it worked. I then did the medical test image and the nVidia logo 3D test and it was working ..

so basically I just installed like the direction say, just the part where you do the Right eye, Left eye test I just did it till I passed it is probally a certain sequence you have to pick, I just need someone with a certified system tel us which boxes to highlite and we will be able to get this working..

I had to do some setting up of the convergence and depth as usual but it appears to be working NP say 1 game Ghost Recon1..

If you have any question shoot them too me Ill answer ASAP!!

EDIT: you need to wear the glasses Upside Down. then the Left Right eye test works as it is supposed to NO tricks needed besides wearing the glasses upside down to see the correct image in each eye..

WEll After Further checking and testing I do have Parralax inversion.. Now the Big question is How can I fix it besides putting my glasses on upside down or get new projectors??

I remember with my Old School setup I had a Inverter that fixed the issue do they make any new inverters.??

Just get some old wired e-dims and dongle like the ones from ultimate 3d heaven on ebay or edimensional. Which glasses did you use before in your old setup? Well using my e-dims with nvidia 3d vision "the wired glasses" so theres no ir conflict gives me perfect upright 3d on games and of course on movies. So as long as your projector in connected to your dongle with vga and the glasses are activated with something like the ed.exe activator there is no problem activating 3d vision and leaving nvidias wireless glasses away and off for a non 3d ready projector. You could use e-dim wireless glasses cause i have a pair and they do work right side up but the nvidia emitter needs to be hidden and totally blocked for the e-dim emitter to work because of ir conflict. Just don't try and connect the e-dim dongle to the nvidia emitter cause it won't work as I tested to see if it would sync the glasses and nope its just a dead signal. I hope you can get your new system configuration working right!

I think you would have to open up the glasses and switch the wiring like they did to make 3d vision glasses only see 2d except left eyes for right and right eye for left. Might void your warrenty and is not easy to do. The thing is how do you suppose an inverter box could work with 3d vision? Hook something to the emitter box? I heard someone doing that in the DIY section maybe look there.

swapping the wiring in the glasses is definitely easier than inverting the signal at the transmitter. To do that you need to understand the timings of the signals and send the opposite one.

Well just by looking at the 3D Vision glasses it looks as if the circuit board is in each side of the Arm of the Glasses. The Wires would be on the outside of the glasses and not to clean??. I would also have to lengthen each wire.. I dont think I want to do the wire switch???

I will either have to wear them upside down or get help making an inverter!!

I recall someone figured out a hack so they didn't have to wear the glasses upside-down or maybe I'm just imagining things.

No, some physical hack. I just don't remember what it was (or maybe I'm confusing things).

Could people use the new 3Dvision hack with old edimensional type glasses?

viewtopic.php?f=3&t=9990&start=30

If page-flipping is enabled you just need a sync-extractor of some sort right?

Would the normal edimensional dongle work? Or maybe one of these designs:

http://translate.googleusercontent.com/translate_c?hl=en&sl=ru&u=http://kostasoft.com/index.php%3Fmod%3Dpages%26page%3DShutterControl&prev=/search%3Fq%3Dhttp://Kostasoft.com%26hl%3Den%26prmd%3Divns&rurl=translate.google.co.uk&twu=1&usg=ALkJrhjbe5ObgV2zVZgfRaoOH7MRX0WEDw

I would be interested to know if anyone can test it.

:)

Thanks! Do your Edimensional glasses normally take sync from the VGA dongle? I have been wondering if the Nvidia emitter could work as a stand-alone emitter just using its VESA sync port? Maybe on a rear-projection DLPTV without the USB connected to the PC at all? The VESA sync port has 5v power so it could work? I think there are going to be a few of them going cheap on eBay now...

Yes i get the sync from my dongle as my wired e-dims are connected directly to the dongle. And i activate them with a software application.

I don't know what i am doing wrong but the USB input device failed to install.

I ran the dsf x64 installer
then clicked init_x64.bat , that loaded and closed
then i clicked enablestereo.bat , brings up the console and starts to install the drivers for emulation but it fails to install the input driver.
Do I need to uninstall my stereo dongle driver from nvidia you think?

Yes try re-installing the nvidia emitter driver with the emulator window still running, maybe reboot first though, can you see anything listed in device manager? You might also want to disable user account control, run the bats as admin, and if your Antivirus has a script blocker turn it off. You have unplugged the real emitter right?

Yes I unplugged the emitter but I will try to install the stereoscopic emitter software this time. It could be just my system as it never wanted to install hacked software.

Files Attatched! & also here: http://hotfile.com/dl/111389928/3d22e5e ... r.zip.html

The great thing about this "hack" is that NO Nvidia files are modified,

Microsoft wrote 99% of it, our Russian friend just made a small patch to SoftHidReceiver.dll - genius! :ugeek:

I still scanned everything and it's 100% clean & very stable on my system:

I guess i might not be able to test this out.

I unplugged my nvidia dongle loaded the enablestereo.bat with dsf x64 installed and also loading the init_x64.bat and the enablestereo.bat console pops up and trys to load
the drivers for input device and i checked the device in device manager and it shows it as "cannot start code 10"

I tried without and with the nvidia stereoscopic emitter drivers and both don't load this emulated driver. Sounds like everyone else can get it to work though. I kind of wanted to use
it without my other edid hack.

Very strange? You should only run the init.bat once, if you have done it several times maybe uninstall DSF and start over.

Maybe try using the DEVMGR_SHOW_NONPRESENT_DEVICES variable to remove ghost devices: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315539

I'd also reboot between each step, not sure what else to suggest?

Good luck with it, I hope you get it working. :)

So good news, I got it working! Just had to reboot after each step and turn off UAC user account control. I had the nvidia stereoscopic emitter drivers uninstalled and when loading
enablestereo.bat it was asking for the drivers now. So i installed nvidia stereoscopic emitter drivers and now its working. I guess the main problem i was having was the UAC cause once I turned that off and loaded the init_x64.bat and rebooted everything else seemed to work.

I also tested this out with my e-dims on my projector connected to a e-dim dongle with wired glasses. The nvidia stereoconnection is "generic crt monitor" and I can see stereo with my glasses just the same as with my nvidia hardware emitter connected. Glad its working, now to tell the whole community about it. :shutter

Wow,
I think I need to speed up the development of the emitter viewtopic.php?f=26&t=13012, so it can suit for NVDIA 3D vision and IZ3d.

Hi, I think you will need a newer video card like at least an 8000 series card. Nvidia 3d vision only works from like 8400 - gtx590 i think. Other than that you should be able to get stereo3d to work with your setup on windows 7 with this software emitter emulator.
