Hi, I have been using Nvidia's 3D vision for a few weeks now with the latest drivers playing my newer games in stereoscopic 3d with ease. I seen that the certificate program is based on game companies effectivness on implications of stereo 3d parameters for working with the directx drivers. Mostly what I have been looking for in stereo3d is volume and clarity. I cannot acheive this that good with my current configuration. I really want to have some satasfaction and aweshock gaming as it's meant to be played. I have been thinking of newer settings and things Nvidia could perhaps develop to enhance their customers gaming ten fold. From a hardware and software point and the ability to add extra functions to a graghics card that is like a computer byitself seems realistic. Lcd shutter cut off half the light and as I notice fuddling around with brightness and contrast, gamma only hampers the effects only contrast adding a little more clearity. Why not add "laser bright", just send a wavelengh to all the rgb color patterns and contrast so that when in stereo3d mode there is no stereo over or under bright just living color. Digital vibrance adds a little but as I see these settings are for 2d mostly like video and desktop office work. To futher the enhancment why not add a laser light wavelengh to the rgb signal as pixel depth polygons too, so that outstanding objects and players are not faded or washed out with certain resolutions or game settings. One of the final dissapointment I discovered it blurring and double timing images even so at low level separation, I thought Nvidia would have noticed this amoug their specifications monitor list and converse hardware compatability's for Personal computing. Mostly from what I see as this point is beta style development of new stereo3d software and hardware, Until we can see the polygons floating off and on the screen the effect is just really 25 percent of what can really happen and gimicky. Most companies like user feedback that is accurate, honest and that abbide by their standards and recommendations. Anyways I would also like to see how we could read in stereo3d with doubleimage blurring and a fix that I would see like as in Microsoft Windows cleartype text resolution choices, only for 3d text to fix timing isues as I know unlawful settings could deplete relays and chips also the glasses themselves. I also don't know yet if it is wise to buy a new 120hz monitor 22 or 24 inch to fix all this or just wait until some better stereo3d settings have come out.

Well I think Nvidia can only do so much by hooking into DirectX after-the-fact. The other drivers like DDD and IZ3D or even Vuzix all suffer from the same issues. It is a matter of game developers not creating the games with 3D in mind. This is most obviously seen in the Avatar PC game, which has a flawless implementation. The 3D in Avatar is second to none and this is because it was tailor-made for 3D.

In terms of getting a new solution, I say why not? That 24" Alienware monitor looks pretty nice. And if you are strapped for cash the iz3d and zalman monitors are selling for pretty low these days.

So I changed out my crt display for a samsung 120hz 3d ready monitor. It shows the 3d way better now and a 22 inch screen seems half decent too. I can pretty much get fully ingulfed into scenes with it and I can turn on the lights up in my computer room now with it on. My next monitor maybe that 27 inch asus you guys were talking about in another post. I could not get that alienware monitor cause the store was to far away and it cost 450 or somthing and I did'nt want to pay double for only 2 inches and 1080p, its still a good deal and what I wanted but its too hard to get. My new samsung never even came with a DVI-D digital cable so I had to end up buying that too, somewhat of a hastle. Really though I think Nvidia has done a great job at harnessing the power of modern3d hardware and intergrating it into video with their software.
