I have a Nvidia GTX 275 card and a Vizio 32" 3D TV. I upgraded to the latest Nvidia drivers/control panel. The TV easily goes into side-by-side or Over/Under modes. I have watched side-by-side videos. And when I run the Nvidia 3D settings wizard or test app it shows a nice over/under screen which my TV shows in 3D also.
But how do I get the Nvidia card to go into over/under or side-by-side during Left4Dead2 ? I know that game is supported because it's on the list. CTRL-T didn't work (even though I removed CTRL from any keys inside the games itself.)
I also see no Hot-Key edit screen or choice under "Set up stereoscopic display" in the Nvidia control panel. I also see no place to tell it what type of 3D output I'd like (side-by-side, over/under, Anaglyth).
What am I missing?

Does the TV support HDMI 1.4? If so, you need to get something called "3DTV Play" which is something you pay for from Nvidia. Once 3DTV Play is active, you will be able to play S-3D games using Nvidia drivers. Another option which works equally well is DDD's TriDef Ignition drivers. That has a direct interlaced output (which is what your TV is probably based on), and it has a free 14 day trial. Also, once you get the hang of things, be sure to make regular submissions here: http://www.gamegrade3d.comEnjoy! Regards, Neil

You need to use Nvidia 3DTV Play: http://www.nvidia.com/object/3dtv-play-overview.html . You may have to buy this separately for $40. The mode that this uses is called HDMI 1.4a frame-packing, and only works at 720P for gaming. This will be automatically detected by your TV, you don't need to do anything special. This will use the 3D glasses that came with your TV, the Nvidia glasses WILL NOT work. If you have a passive 3D display (with the small polarized glasses), then it may be possible to directly send and interleaved signal, however I know there have been a lot of issues with this (dual to internal image processing on the TV) so I would recommend trying the Nvidia 3DTV Play first.

Thank y'all so much! I download the 14 day trail of "3D TV Play" and it is working great! I do have to set the resolution in the game to like 1280 x 720 but it looks fantastic in 3D. I just played Left4Dead2 for about an hour in stereoscopic 3D. I guess I'll have to buy 3D TV Play because I will be using it a lot. Back in the day, all the stereoscopic drivers came with the card for free. I guess NVidia saw a chance to bilk more money out of us and so they charge extra for it now. I guess since it is becoming more popular their sales team just couldn't resist. But it lowers my opinion of them a lot !
In any case, I'm loving the huge 32" stereoscopic screen for use as a monitor and a TV. Got it (Vizio E3d320VX) at Best Buy, refurbished, for 400 with free shipping (shipped to store). Already had a decent, although now dated, video card (Nvidia GTX 275 with dual DVI output .I use 2 DVI ->HDMI adapters.)
Now I'm off to find more stereoscopic 3D content. Games, Movies, desktop interfaces, whatever. A friend of mine said once you get used to it then it seems kinda blah. Funny, he said even though the novelty factor wares off that 2D gaming looked too flat now, just awful. I haven't reached that stage where it looks blah. It's awesome!
Thanks again!

I haven't reached that stage where it looks blah. It's awesome! I think I agree with this. It never gets "blah", but eventually, it stops being "Wow! Look at the depth!". Combine that with the bad parts of 3D (Lower brightness, eyewear, lower FPS, etc), and it only gets worse. That said, I can't go back to 2D, it feels terrible in comparison. In the end, the only thing to do is to get ever improving 3D displays, obsessively tweaking your setup to be as perfect as possible!

I have the same display and feel the same way. Although not officially endorsed by Nvidia, there are a couple methods I have used to enable 3d-vision/3dtv play without having to pay extra license fees or buy useless hardware. viewtopic.php?f=105&t=13176viewtopic.php?f=115&t=13821

Well I wouldn't say that 3D gets old, but certainly you can only be blown away so many times before it just becomes normal. Sort of like when the Xbox360 came out and HD was the hot new thing. Just playing Gears of War in 1080P was awe-inspiring. Now that is just the norm. Doesn't make it any less cool. Just means you have to go further to get the thrill back. This might mean getting a 3D projector, triple screen surround, an HMD with headtracking, different controllers (like the Razer Hydra, racing wheels), 5.1 surround sound, force-feedback, ambilight, whatever it takes to get into the game.
