WOW.

That's all, really. WOW.

This thing is AMAZING for $199.00 the quality of the pics. Mind yew, it is a matter of knowing how far away to take the picture. That is the most important thing. Also, forget the anaglyph conversion. I have noticed the anaglyph, while 3D, basically does suck in comparison to the field sequential shutter lens 3D. That is rather spectacular if yew get a good pic. I know this thing does video, but I have not tried that feature yet. I am more in it for the pictures. If there is a way, I would be happy to upload some of my better shutter lens pics so y'all can see what I mean by: WOW.

Now, from what I can see, this gizmo saves pics in a side by side format. I have an old Sumsung (new when I got it) that has vertical/horizontal/checkerboard interlacing. I am guessing therefore that it is NOT compatible with the Aiptek side by side? I have been using 3DCombine 5 batch conversion to convert the pics to interlace. It does a fantastic job. Again, I can post some pics here so yew can see what I mean.

I tried viewing the converted pics on a reg'lar viewer, it didn't work. I tried Tridef, it STILL didn't work. So I tried Stereoscopic Player and it was very, VERY nice! I wish there was a way to get these pics going on Tridef?

I am not so keen that I have to spend more $$$ to register both Stereoscopic and 3DCombine, but I guess hobbys are all about spending $$$ anyway.

Are there any free alternatives out there? *Blink*

The Stereoscopic Player is very useful in this field. Well worth the price. Plus, you can get free versions of it if you buy 3D hardware like a Zalman Trimon monitor or Nvidia 3D Vision bundle.
