Thanks Cyber! @ Inrrgb I like this little camcorder, it definitely has some nice features like shooting 60 fps 720p 3d video. It also has a 1/8" external mic input. Very nice for the price range
The stereo base or interaxial is 30mm If you have the near object @ 1 meter & the far object @ 30 feet or greater you can get some nice shots that show off the camera.
I am assuming the video is recorded as L/R side by side squeezed?
How does the camera handle fast moving material? Much smearing and/or break-up?
How about the still image capture? Is it MPO full res formatted, or also Side by Side squeezed?
Any options for color temperature? At this price point, I don't expect things like manual white balance, but an indoor/outdoor color temp setting would go a long way.
Is the focus fixed or does it have auto focus. If there is auto-focus, can it be manualy adjusted? ..Again.. knowing this is a budget targeted 3-D camcorder, I am just curious.
Thank you for the information! You're Welcome I am assuming the video is recorded as L/R side by side squeezed? Yes, Half side by side mp4 1080p 30 fps, 720p 60 fps How does the camera handle fast moving material? Much smearing and/or break-up? Haven't tested it on fast moving subjects, yet How about the still image capture? Is it MPO full res formatted, or also Side by Side squeezed? Images are full side by side jpeg (up to 16 megapixels interpolated, 5 megapixels Standard) I edited the photos with Stereo Photo Maker and saved them to MPO Any options for color temperature? At this price point, I don't expect things like manual white balance, but an indoor/outdoor color temp setting would go a long way. There are basic white balance settings (Auto,Daylight,Fluorescent,Tungsten) Scene Settings (Auto,Skin,Night,Backlight) & ISO settings (800,1600,3200,6400) For these images and video I left all of the settings on Auto to see how the camera would perform on it's own Is the focus fixed or does it have auto focus. If there is auto-focus, can it be manualy adjusted? The camcorder is fixed focus (1 meter to infinity) there are no controls to adjust it
I will try to make more footage available soon, I will be on vacation next week and I will make sure I take the Z100 with me I will look up the DXG-5F9V, I am not familiar with it.
