Recommendations for good games in 3D stereo...?

Hi everybody!
I like playing HL2 and FarCry in stereo (and Mods of HL2 and Far Cry).
Are there any other (newer) games similar to these two that work great in stereo?
Which ones would you recommend for me?
(I didn't test any newer games after HL2 came out.)
Btw: I use an 7900GS Nvidia card.
Thanks in advance,
M.

hi with that card you can play most of the game sin stereo.. tomb raider is cool, flatout2 is cool

you can test wichever game you like and see if it meets your requirements.. if you want to be shure about a game you can use teh search function on the forum. many games have already been the center of discusisons.. ;)

have fun

F.E.A.R. is a nice shooter which works ok in 3D with a little tweaking.
To get the slow motion in ther you should use DX8 in the graphics menue...

Thanks for that Luke!. It's really annoying when you need some "bullet time" and the screen goes like... you've been shot or something.

cheers

Thank you!
I know that I can use the forum search, but the reason I asked my question is that I want to find games that meet the following three requirements:
1. Work good in Stereo 3D,
2. similar in gameplay to HL2 or Far Cry,
3. fun to play!
The first suggestion we have is FEAR.
What else?
Thanks,
qm
P.S.: Just to let you know about my background, forget the "number of posts" in my profile. I've been a stereo gamer since Elsa's Revelator first came out and I posted a lot in the now missing stereovision-forums (user name "MarkraM"). The main reason for my question is that I had a lot of work in the last two years (and I still have a lot of work), so I don't have the time to check all the new games coming out, if they're nice and if they work in stereo.

What about Stalker?
Does it work in stereo, and what settings are needed?
Thanks,
qm

I know when I played Stalker with my shutterglasses and nvidia driver it didn't work that well.
Like the UI didn't display correctly and so on.
But I haven't checked with the latest nvidia drivers.

Stalker runs perfect in 3D on my iz3d monitor with the iz3d driver.
So I guess you can work it out with the nvidia driver, too.
Maybe you have to play around with the settings a little bit.

I don't know the settings iz3d change with their driver but as it seems you have to run the game in static lightning,
which is directx 8 as far as I know.
Looks great though! 8)

Also Lord of the Rings online is absolutely beautiful in 3D!
That one I had working great in 3D with nvidia and now as I switched to iz3d it looks even better!

Right I forgot, Stalker is also very nice playable in S-3D, if you turn down the HD lighting. I think the other things could stay maxed out.
The menue was always on screen depth on my 93.xx (nvidia) driver combo.
You can go on convergence and seperation like crazy if you want.

The only problem that I noticed, are the weapons which can get between one eye and the Laser sight marker --> No 3D around it, because one eye sees only your weapon

You'll yust have to find settings, where your weapon stands out of the way...

Hello,

could someone tell me how to get Quake 3,4 and Doom 3 working with 173.xx driver combined with 162.50 under winXP????
I've got a 8800GTX and Edim shutterglases, the issue is that when Q3 or similar starts i get nvogl... error, it crashes as soon as it loads, while other D3D games work well some more some less.

thank you! Bye

You sound like a shooter guy ... you know about STALKER but what about SWAT4?

I call it a tactical shooter - the whole point is NOT to shoot anyone. Squad management
and tactics are important. Different missions call for differing armament - and you can
play it as a shooter or as a tactical.

Oops, forgot to mention Return to Castle Wolfenstein (RTCW). Old, but pretty good
(and not too taxing on older systems) in S3-D.
