It seems that the nVidia drivers don't like my monitor or something. I get perfect sync between my eDimensional wireless glasses and infrared transmitter with their E-D Activator program. But when I try the 'Medical Test Image' in the nVidia Driver Properties (or any game for that matter) without the E-D Activator, the transmitter seems to lose signal or something.... but only when the monitor is on!
I've made videos to make this a little bit clearer. You need either Quicktime or VLC to watch these videos.
Here's how it behaves with the E-D Activator program (Interleaved, Stereo Normal):
http://www.internet.is/rufuz1/images/3d ... _edact.mov 2.9MB
At 00:05 I turn Stereo on and at 00:12 I turn it off.
Here's how it behaves with only the nVidia Stereo Driver (DDC VGA glasses (IO Display), Medical Test Image)
http://www.internet.is/rufuz1/images/3d ... nvidia.mov 6.5MB
Stereo is on through the whole video. At 00:13 I turn the monitor off and at 00:19 I turn it on again.
My video card is a eVGA GeForce 7900 GTX Superclocked and my monitor is a 21" Sony CPD-E500 CRT.
Does anyone know an explanation for this? Is the E-D Activator absolutely necessary for the eDimensional glasses to work?
Thank you for this great forum!
EDIT. I just noticed that if I use Page Flip mode in the E-D Activator, I get full 3D in the nVidia 'Medical Test Image' without any interlacing.

If you use nvidia stereo drivers you don't need the e-d activator, in fact it will only cause problems
EDIT: ah I just saw your other thread, nvm then...

That is exactly what I'm trying to accomplish. Getting the glasses to work without the E-D Activator.
According to what you're saying, that is possible, right?

Yes it is, I don't use the E-D activator with my e-dimensionals, when using nvidia drivers. Just enable stereo on nvidia control panel and start a game and it should be in stereo (and the glasses should sync)
