YouTube Spotlight: Best of 3D

Post by cybereality »

Just noticed YouTube has a big spotlight on the front page promoting their new 3D feature.

Thought I'd just capture this as a piece of 3D history:

Also, how did that guy get 260,000 views in only 5 days?!?!

This one is really amazing, nice zooming and macro work.

I'd like to how it was done, maybe a StereoCam adapter or a planar-style mirror box on the cameras?

Yeah, I've watched that a few times but I didn't pick up on the zooming. It would be interesting to know how that was done.

Here is the website of the author of "3D Waltz of the Flowers" YouTube video: http://v-galleries.com/

and here are the camera rigs that made it possible: http://v-galleries.com/index.html#Stere ... _Video_Rig

This rig was shown at the end of the video, I was silly and didn't watch the whole thing!
I came here to chew bubblegum and to see 3D...and I'm all out of bubblegum!
