Meant to be Seen

I've made a fairly good steadycam but I can't take it backpacking so I came up with this much simpler one:

just to try to avoid making "the camera is all over the place" videos

I use:
1 stick
1 weight (adjustable)
1 small ball (air soft pellet)
2 elastic bands
1 piece of tape

Pretty neat! And the result is great too!

Lol@no 3. The first thing i did when getting the new cameras for 3d i dropped one on the floor. It of course broke and i had to take it for repairment without one single shot taken.
When repaired it didn't take equally colored pictures as the other one and recently i got a outsalesexample for a third of the price. Now got three of those cameras but at least stereo is great!

Nice I wonder if suspending the whole thing from an elastic at each side would also help with up and down bobbing.

Are those cams capturing 3D video?

This kind of steadycam might be great for those cheap pocket HD cams like the Flip Mino or Kodak Zi6, etc.

Those small HD cams tend to have a lot of "tearing" in the video like in your demo without the steadycam gadget.

Not sure why some videos have tearing? (seen it in quite a few videos on Youtube).
