3D camera!

I'm not sure how many have been following M$ purchase of a company called 3DV systems, but I decided to look up the company today and all I can say is WOW!!!
This technology is such a great concept and, if it works, will kick the A$$ of the wii. Have a look at the PDFs at the bottom of this page:

I've seen something simular before... Can't remember the name of the corp... it was named Z-Cam or so...

Yeah, I've been waiting for the 3DV camera to come out already. I saw a video of it a while ago and it looked very promising, lightyears ahead of the Wii. If MS bought them maybe there is some hope for this technology to go big-time. I wonder if it will be for the Xbox360 or maybe for their next system.

It could be great for doing head tracking so we can have games like the johnny wii application.
Fingers crossed that it's not a flop. So long as it's not over expensive I'm sure to get one... and probably try to hack it for the PC to capture 3D models.

Sweet, maybe it will come out after all. That would be awesome. I've loved the idea after I played Anti-grav for the PS2 Eyetoy. You could control the game with your body, it was a wipeout like racing game with hoverboards. If you moved your arm up, the character would move his arm, lean left to move left, jump, etc. Way cooler than the Wii but it never got the publicity it deserved.

ummm... I think this'll be coming out for xbox 360 (and future M$ consoles) only... so you sold it just in time to upgrade to an xbox!
