Meant to be Seen

Well, a few months ago I dislocated my knee, and ended up breaking my patella a bit, and also my femur. Had to have surgery to pin everything back together. Well, after having my brace locked for 5 months, my leg was frozen up. I have undergone physical therapy, and such, but unfortunately after 5 weeks my movement has not improved enough.

So my surgeon is going to do a procedure called "Mobilization under Anesthesia" which means.. he is going to put me to sleep, and bend the heck out of my leg until it has most movement.

Risks: Breaking a bone. Yes, they work on it hard enough where they could actually break my leg....

Another risk could be complications like I had after the surgery.

Which, was an elevated heartrate stuck at 140 for 4 days when resting, a fever for 3 days, and a swollen Uvula(Couldn't eat solid food for a week!)

This is supposed to be like a 5 minute procedure... and they keep me overnight.

I went in the hospital a while ago, to get my pinky finger straighted. They told me to undress and lie down in a bed.
OMG, I thought before coming there, they would just cut and stitch in my finger and I could go home again....
Not putting me to sleep, and have fun with me

Hope all goes well, and you can walk after the surgery, no mather how much fun they had with you

hey all. thank u for the support and kind words.

im in the hospital still. procedure went well, they DID have to go in my knee orthoscpically though to remove scar tissue.

but they gave me an epidural, so im pretty numb below the waist.

im also on a knee moving machine to make sure it staays mobile. will probably be here a couple days

It's great to hear and it sounds like things are moving in the right direction!
A good advice: Keep training your legs and often excercise the knee. Take walks when you have time even in the future. The more you move it, the better it gets.
(sorry, i bet your doctor already tells you and he should know better. )

A tip: Take one, then rotate the leg slightly and take another one.
X-ray photo in stereo. Will that work?
(Ps: if you say this to the doctor then show him this post so you won't have to end up in another hospital facility. )

3d xrays? could work but the ghosting....

But it will be twice the radiation. Not thand kind of halty...

A CRT is generating volumetric pictures... so you only need an iz3d on the pc and you can see your inner organs in S-3D...

Hope you're well on the way to recovery . After my motorbike accidents in 2002 the titanium in my broken ankle serves as a very good barometer, so things could be worse 8)

Hey Guys!

Sorry, I missed the posts.

I'm doing a lot better now. The second surgery was worse than the first, because I was in much more pain, for a longer time. I also had fun withdrawal symptoms for 5 days when I stopped my pain medicine I was prescribed... But, I'm much better now Very little pain, and I can walk semi-normally without the assistance of a crutch or anything. But, I still have a pretty bad limp. But, it gets better day-to-day.

I had a doctors appointment yesterday with my surgeon, and he was VERY happy to see my progress, so looks like I'm on the road to recovery!
