PHYSICAL: Futuresource predicts 3D TVs in 10% of households by 2012

MAY 6 | PHYSICAL: Advanced 3D at-home usage, comparable in quality to today’s theatrical experience, will be realized gradually, with the first commercial 3D Blu-ray Disc releases expected no sooner than 2011, according to Futuresource Consulting.

A key obstacle to 3D at-home adoption is the current lack of technology standards ensuring that content will reliably play on all available 3D display devices. In the short-term, between 2009 and 2011, advanced 3D projects will be geared primarily for theatrical release.

I'm really hoping for a 3D blu-ray Avatar release
And what about Monsters vs Aliens...? It has some great 3D...
Aren't they wasting money not being ready?
I will never buy a 2D blu-ray of a 3D movie... and by the time they will come up with the 3D blu-ray release, there could be less "hype" on that title...

I thought there was already decent (Field Sequential?) blu-ray's on the market. (We're ignoring all the Anaglphy Blu-Ray disks right? )

monsters vs aliens will be in colour code 3d more then likely just like the trailers of it , also i think it will take longer then that for the hole stereo 3d to get going , nvidia 3d stereo kit (with glasses,monitor.) is not even out in the uk as of yet and there is no word from nvidia of it being realised soon.

nVidia 3D Vision + Samsung 22" 120Hz is avilable to buy via several populare sellers (OverclockersUK, Novatech, etc) in the UK, this has been the case since the start of this month.
