hope this brings regular tv broadcasts a step closerForget all those 1080p sets with internet connectivity -- what you really want is an HDTV that does three-dee. Over at the Digital Signage Expo in Las Vegas, 3DFusion has announced the market launch of its 3DFMax stereoscopic, glasses free, broadcast ready (get all that?) 3D display. The set is built upon the Philips WOWvx 3D solution, but outside of that, we're really left to wonder what this thing's made of. No resolution, no contrast ratio, no price. Just the hope of a chicken in every pot and a 3D HDTV in every den.

No tech specs, no price, broadcast ready = wowvx 2D+depth ?
What a joke !
Seriously we need something more serious about the consumer market than that.

It'll probably cost and arm and a leg so I don't see much use for the consumer market. I could be wrong though.

... which means it features nine independent views with a resolution of 640x360 each - the whole panel is divided in 3x3 block and views are diverted by a lenticular lens array.yuriythebest wrote:The set is built upon the Philips WOWvx 3D solution
I say thank you, but I'd happily wear shutter glasses and have full 1920x1080 instead. Sure useful for advertisement purposes though, especially if the WOWvx S3D auto-conversion software suite is included.
