That is not abnormal
It's called OEM(Original Equipment Manufacturer).
Just like Chi Mei manufactures the parts of our monitor, they do so for several others as well! They are, after all, the 3rd largest panel manufacturer in the world I beleive, so lots of what is on the market can all be made by one company.

having a 120hz iz3d would be virtually pointless in terms of 3d. Only thing it would bring is perhaps slightly sharper motion- but not even sure about that.
waaaait! I got it! if it's 120hz that means it would qualify for the nvidia 3d compatibility certificate thing. Imagine the irony if the nvidia 3d vision glasses would be iz3d compatible![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)

It would be sharper. Motion portrayal in TV signals is much more difficult since the source is not blur-free either (camera shutter, MPEG compression, etc). A game has much more sharpness potential in moving scenes. So yes, 120Hz for games will yield a much higher sharpness provided the monitor is fast enough, which in the case of 120Hz 3D displays is true.yuriythebest wrote:having a 120hz iz3d would be virtually pointless in terms of 3d. A 120Hz iZ3d would be awesome. It could do both iZ3D and Nvidia. That would be brilliant. Pick whichever system works best on the game you have. Yumm, I say. Plus 60Hz was never enough.

120Hz input brings simultaneously :
-shorter response time pannel
-less (almot zero) motion trails due to LCD response time
-better animation smoothness at both high FPS and low FPS
-shorter V-sync lag : V-sync has less impact on both input and output performance (very important at low framerate)
and accessory for publicity :
120Hz looks more "high tech" than 60Hz
Professionnal FPS Hardcore gamers will accept to play on your screen at major competitions (i go to ESWC French finals every year, the public booth all have huge LCDs but all player screens are still 17" or 19" CRT monitors, they told me it's for the 100fps capability)
