Is there a way to trick Samsung blu-ray player into playing 3d movies SBS on normal monitor?

Hi guys,
I recently bought an external/standalone Samsung 3d-bluray player, but it refuses to play in 3D because my Samsung TV isn't 3D capable. However, I want it to play the movie in 3D SBS mode, so I can use a screengrabber to record it as 3d SBS avi. Is there a simple way to trick my player into thinking it is connected to a 3D display and make it display the movie in SBS mode?
