That's expected, and it's the main reason why I wanted to remove TAA in the first place (manually in the shaders and not in Engine.ini, which is bugged) and the reason why disabled TAA is the default option in the fix.

I guess that somehow a fix for TAA should be doable, but I really have no idea how to do it (I tried).

Second game in 1 day I hear of having the wrong DX12-only designation (Hired Gun being another).

After 109.4 hours played (counting fixing time), if we divide the game in 5 parts according to the IGN walkthough, I just started the last one.
I think it's safe to say that I'll finish the game this week. The fix too, I suppose.

Since the last work in progress fix that I posted, I have fixed a lot of (mostly minor) issues that appeared as I played.

LOOKING FORWARD TO THE FINAL FIX :) For me this will likely be GOTY, as the combination of third person survival horror with 3d vision in a AAA wrapping will be hard to beat. Hope the performance of the game is ok, but from what I have seen in the WIP it should be decent - and the gfx quite lovely.

The game and fix is amazing, I wish it would never end :-)
I've been playing every day, after a hard day's work, when you feel both physically and mentally wrecked and drained of any intention of joy. I open the game and roam the great American rural wilderness, and let myself be amazed by the game world and the story and the 3D and Masterotaku's skill to bring this into our lives.
I've said "thank you" so many times, I don't have the proper words to express how lucky and grateful I feel ...

Thanks for making the 3dvision alive!! Keep up the good work!!
Played this game, on a LG CX, 1440p, 120fps, looks pretty, but with 3dvision, it's magic, too beautiful. I find myself looking at every detail!!!

Thank you!

Doing the last tweaks before publishing the final fix next morning / evening.

Biggest change: resolution scale will be properly dynamic (getting the information from a common shader). No more need to touch "d3dx.ini" for that.

I have to test if there's any performance change because of this.

The fix is finished: https://helixmod.blogspot.com/2021/06/days-gone.html
Direct link to the fix file: https://s3.amazonaws.com/masterotaku/Da ... ion_fix.7z

"x10=1.0" is still in d3dx.ini, but you have to leave it like that, untouched. You won't need to change it anymore for non native resolutions and screen percentages.
I also removed the depth of field hotkey because it has too many side effects. Just disable it in Engine.ini the way pcgamingwiki suggests, if you want to disable it.

This is so amazing. From the Sony announcement a few months ago to now having a fully fixed 3d game. I hope this is a taste of things to come for Sony exclusives on PC.

Yep can't wait for playing Uncharted 4 in G3D.

I just watched for fun Indiana Jones, Raiders of the Lost Ark in 4k (after at least 38 years) and I reinstalled immediatly Shadow of the Tomb Raider 8) it's still one if not the best 3D looking game in 3D and with DX12 at 60fps in 2160p!!! So well optimized...

It would surely perform better, CPU wise, haha. But the lack of regex, on top of me not being too used to GLSL code, on top of not being able to create a dynamic crosshair, on top of me not knowing how to do frame sync like Helifax does... It would be a lot harder and longer than the weeks it took me to fix in DX11 (the really long playthrough time was a big part of that, but it was at least 40 hours of pure fixing).

By the way, Vk3DVision doesn't work with games converted to Vulkan with DXVK (at least at the moment).

Is "r.TemporalAASamples=0" your only configured option under "[SystemSettings]"? If you have old things from where I told people to disable TAA through that ini, then it's wrong.

Sony just announced they acquired Nixxes (who did the SOTTR port among others), so this is definitely good news for the quality of future PS PC ports! Nixxes does an amazing job, although I doubt we will ever see them include native 3D in their ports again (hope I'm wrong) - but they still kick ass at porting high quality versions of console games and supporting them well post launch, even adding multiple graphical upgrades etc. Hopefully this increases the volume and speed of Sony ports...

Just started playing Days Gone. The fix is spectacular - thank you masterotaku for this superb effort - and the performance is generally good (above 40 fps) on my setup.

However, I cannot get through the Frontier Motel sequence without the game freezing, forcing either a Windows sign off or shut down. Prior to this Motel area, the game performance was great, without issue (beyond some minor scene transition stutter). In fact, the performance is great until the moment the freeze occurs. The freeze always seems to be associated with some type of Xbox controller input during combat. Changing the game settings to use frame rate limiter set to 30, with 2 60 Hz sync intervals seems to lengthen the time before the freeze occurs, but the game still freezes. Does anyone have a suggestion? Thanks.

Nice, I missed this one. Initially I thought this is the list of upcoming games with Bioshock 2022 etc. that's been debunked by nVidia, but I see this is different.
GoW, Tsushima and Demon's Souls have a chance for DX11, I think the rest are most likely DX12 :( Fingers crossed for some Vulkan possibility.
Also, after Days Gone and Uncharted and PS openly confirming AAA titles coming to PC, this is not that surprising. Bloodborne and Spider-Man missing is surprising, though but it doesn't mean much since this is just nVidia's database.
