Microsoft patches Windows 10 bug that is responsible for game freezes

This bug is not supposed to be widespread and may not even pertain to any games this community plays.
I certainly haven't ran into it, but perhaps one of you may have.

KB4598291 currently is an optional update.

I'm now juggling it with a few other tasks. Unfortunately, even though I NOW HAVE it functioning, I need to retest many games since shader updates rendered any pixel shader regex solutions (such as those for haloing problems) ineffective.
