Recommended system specs for best experience with 3D vision?

Post by Kaizen777 »

Hi!
I heard the 3080 doesn't push out 1080p really any better than the 2000 series.
What kind of system would be the best for 720p and 1080p 3D gaming?
I'm currently using my 1080p sony projector with 3DTVPlay, but gaming at 720p 60hz since my projector doesn't support 1080p beyond 24hz.
I do plan on getting a better projector eventually.. but my dream is to get a triple monitor 3D setup, or possibly one of those big ultra-ultrawide curved displays.
I've seen people gaming on 3 screens in 3D with Nvidia surround going back years... how come I can't even run a lot of AAA titles from a few years ago at 60 fps on one screen? For 3D gaming are my expectations too high to want 60 fps?
Current system is a 1080ti + i7-4790k.
Probably going to get the next gen AMD in October I hope, and a 3080 to fully enjoy 4K VR, but 3DVision gaming is really important to me too.
Would I be better off with a different setup than that?

Thank you!!!!!!!!!

You might want to look into HelixVision if u want a giant screen - buy a VR helmet instead of 3 monitors. I haven't tried it but some of the guys here use it and it sounds sweet.
