Looking for 3D Monitor 1440p to 4K preferred

Hi

I am looking to upgrade my home office setup with the corona situation. I already have a C6 for my 3D needs but its not suitable for some gaming like 3D RTS games. Anyways, I figured it might be nice to have 2 3D capable displays, the monitor when I need to game in 3D on a smaller screen for whatever reason.

The main goal of the upgrade is becuase I will be programming a lot and googling for solutions. Working with a 4K monitor, I've realized how useful that realestate can be. However I am curious to see if I can get by with a 1440p 3D or 4K 3D monitor. Any recommedations for these?

What I am thinking of is buying a cheap 4K monitor strictly for office use and maybe a 3D 1440p monitor for gaming and everything else. this way I can get best of both worlds. I just don't know any 3D monitors out there

I would personally recommend skipping 4k in 3D for performance reasons no matter how much horsepower you have to throw at it....

Rog swift PG278QR 1440p 27' Is what I would recommend and I think the general consensus was it was the best display to get they arent that old so hopefully you would be able to find one around pretty easily.

Only thing I would say is be careful as it doesnt support SBS mode at all.

There are none :p. 1440p is the highest you can get without going to older 4K TVs (which in the end don't show two full 4K scenes).
About monitor recommendations for 1440p, I like the one I have: Asus PG278QR. If there is any better than that, I don't know.

That monitor doesn't show 3D vision compartibility

There's the physical proof.

If Any of you 3D fans could find LG OLED 2016 model you will get the best 3D out there. With the oled you will get maximum of 3840x1080 for each eye (4,147,200 pixels) because the two images displayed simultaneously and each eye essentially will get half of the horizontal resolution. On the other hand the ASUS pg278qr will get 2560x1440 (3,686,400) for each eye. So the oled is the winner I regard to resolution. If we will add the oled image quality then it blows hands down every single 3D monitor out there. I have both but I’m using my oled only for my stereo photography hobby. And the ASUS screen and projector for movies and games.

Oh wow. Thanks for sharing. Where did you buy your 3D visions set up for it? I'm going to assume that you need 3D vision glasses for it? What else do you need?

You need the "3D Vision 2 kit", although the old version 1 can work too. I have two 3D Vision 2 kits, one bought in 2014 and the other in 2017 or 2018, before stock stopped existing on Amazon and similar stores.

If it's hard to find or too expensive, keep using your TV, I'd say.

Yeah I think I'm gonna stick with the TV for now. Till I get a full time job. Then i'll hopefully find the monitor you got and a kit after. expensive AF but I'll be working full time then. Unless you're willing to sell on of your 3D Vision 2 kits? ;)

Sorry, but no :p. I need the two pairs of glasses (for guests, and also for whenever the first pair breaks), and also the second emitter just in case, because the micro USB connection of the first one is unstable to touching.

Might be against the rules, but I'll put in a plug for HelixVision. If you happen to already have a VR headset, you can use the virtual screen to play a ton of 3D games. We work with maybe 50% of DX9 games, and maybe 90% of DX11 games that have HelixMod fixes.

I wouldn't buy a VR headset just to run HelixVision, the resolution is terrible, and the GPU requirements are high. But if you already have one, it's a nice projector style screen for free.

I use the PG278QR as well, and I use it for programming on a daily basis. The higher resolution is a big help here, and might be the sweet spot versus a 4K monitor.

Do you think of a glasses free 3D motnior? 4K resolution, with eye tracking system, best to enjoy 3D movies, input file format side by side 3D. Check more details at: www.js3d.cc

I'm still not sure if the above link is malicious, but it seems it might be legit. It is http, if legit, they really should migrate to https

There's youtube videos promoting 3D Displays from jsdigitech posted 8 years ago.

https://www.youtube.com/user/JSDigitech

I'd imagine that these are not cutting egde HDMI 2.1 full LED array backlit or OLED TVs supporting Dolby Vision and HDR.

2021 TVs are getting micro LED backlighting, so much better blacks than 2020 and getting closer to OLED blacks.
Plus LED TVs are much brighter than OLED, not to mention a whole lot less burn in chance.
Of course, no native 3D support :(
