Meet Steve Venuti, the President of HDMI Licensing. For those unfamiliar, HDMI is the leading connector used in HDTVs. 2D and stereoscopic 3D HDTVs, to be exact!
Steve shares some information about the impending Sony PlayStation 3 firmware upgrade, the HDMI relationship with LCD shutter glasses, and some details on HDMI’s ethics expectations from its members. Very interesting!

Samsung UPDATE
We just got out of the Samsung press event. We have it on video, and have some S-3D pictures to share as well.
As expected, 3D is very big for Samsung this year. In addition to announcing a new line of 3D televisions, the President of Samsung was joined on-stage by Jeffrey Katzenberg, CEO of Dreamworks Animation, and Frederick Rose, President of Technicolor. Monsters VS Aliens WILL be released on 3D Blu-Ray, and they are official Samsung partners.
Expect much more to report and share later this evening.
