Optoma UHD50X: the successor to the optoma UHD40/50

Post by ZeGURU69 »

https://www.optoma.com/us/product/uhd50x/

Hello,

The successor to the Optoma UHD40 / 50 will be released and it seems that it will be compatible with 1080p @ 120 Hz in frame sequential ! This is what it said in the documentation https://www.projectorcentral.com/pdf/pr ... _11187.pdf

Large brightness, low imputlag, it will be necessary to see if it is as easy to use 3D Vision as on the Optoma UHD40/50 !

Has anyone tried the UHD50X with 3d vision?
3D Vision rig -> 8700k oc 4.9, asus rog 2080ti, 16 GB DDR4 3200 Mhz ram, Win 7 running driver 425.31 on SSD1, Win 10 running driver 452.06 on SSD2, Win 10 running latest Nvidia driver for Vulkan3dV and 2D gaming on SSD3, for 3d vision display: 1080p on VG248QE (and sometimes 1440p on PG278PR), Valve Index or Optoma UHD42 projector

Yes I using the UHZ50 already for some months.

It's brilliant! Very good colors (in comparsion to optoma HD28, which I did use before).
Very good brightness.
Extrem low rainbow effect (usually not noticable at all)

NO CROSSTALK at all with the follwoing glasses:
https://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B07QYS ... UTF8&psc=1
even white on black no crosstalk.

The best 3d experience I ever had. (I also had the 3d passive 4k oled).

- You need to install Monitor *.inf via restart & deactivated driver signature
- you need the 3dv pyramid connect

If you have an old 3D setup, old drivers, old windows, and RTX2080, you can use it with DSR, so best quality but low performance...
If you have a current setup 4080 you have to use geo-11 with directx9 mode. only a few games work with this mode and DSR is not working.

I only play Kena with the new setup, due to Kena is u4 you set in engine.ini scaling to 200 (which does the DSR function for you).

Attention 1440p in 120hz what is also mention in the docs, does not work.
1080p in 240 hz does work, but is useless for 3d, but I play Sackboy in 2d with 240 for e.g.

So we can't play in SBS ?
It doesn't really matter no for 3D Gaming with Geo-11 ?

I still got 2080ti + old drivers for 3D Gaming on my OLED 65C6V with EDID Hack. Is it good if i go on UHZ50 ? Could i play in 3D Vision ?
