The CECH-ZED1U is notorious for overheating and not showing a picture. They went with cheap parts, cheap manufacturing and had a high failure rate. It wasn't on the market long due to all the units shipped back for repairs.

I watched the whole thing for sh!ts and giggles, and I think the guy's main appeal was the fact that display was one of the very few that could serve as a computer monitor and also offered sbs/tab 3D modes for use with SuperDepth3D (which he dares to say is just as good as true 3D Vision), however there are 3D Vision displays, like the BenQ XL2420TX, that have a built in 3DVision emitter that also allow for sbs/tab that are much better than that Sony Playstation display.
