See https://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic. ... 05&t=23276 for important discussion about keeping Windows 10 v1809 and postponing updates.

zig11727 has also suggested locking down driver updates on Windows 10 - see https://www.windowscentral.com/how-disa ... windows-10, for example.

Profile for driver 436.30 attached below. Please share how you are using these profiles, if they fix any 3D Vision problems (especially for new GPU cards unable to use 425.31).

One other option to slow down the Win10 tube down the throat is to set your internet connection to 'metered'. Once it's metered, they respect that by not downloading giant updates like the next OS and costing you money. It's OK to lie, it's just Microsoft.

The ultimate resource though is to keep your backups up to date. Make full image backups, and keep them in a rolling stack. If the OS gets rammed down your throat just roll back to the prior one using your backup.

thanks for posting these whyme466. I've only imported single profiles with Nvidia Profile Inspector before, how do I import these? do I need to rename the extension, and can I just import specific games or do I have to import all of them together?

I had to revert to 425.31 in order to play Ghost Recon Breakpoint in CM, but noticed several games (including this one) are not found by 3D fix manager - which I use for swapping eyes. So I am hoping getting the profiles imported will allow 3D fix manager to find them (?), and I can stop wearing the glasses upside down :?

The entire profile can be imported directly (no file/name change), using Geforce 3D Profile Manager. Before importing, be sure to delete nvdrssel.bin file at C\ProgramData\NVIDIA Corporation\Drs. It will be recreated automatically upon successful profile import.

Just want to say I appreciate you consistently doing this, especially since I was the one who originally requested this and it helps save me some busy work since I prefer to stay on 425.31 for the time being.

Thanks. Glad these updates are useful. I am also staying with 1809/425.31 on my 3D Vision SSD.

Could you give the steps for importing the file please ?

2 steps - delete referenced file, then click import button in Profile Manager. Profile Manager should report successful import operation. Individual game profiles can be cut/pasted into your exported file from Profile Manager before import, also.

Thanks once again for doing this.

For those looking to reimport profiles, here's a link to the tool.
https://nvidia.custhelp.com/app/answers ... kw/Profile

I had a heck of a time finding it after finally upgrading to W10.

Luckily, I thought to look on the settings wiki after unsuccessful searches.

I was using Windows Update Manager (WuMgr) by David Xanatos to stop automatic updates and to stay on v1809, but now I'm on Win 10 v2004 with driver 451.67 and 3D Vision via this tool here:
viewtopic.php?f=105&t=23752&sid=47f3f36 ... b72ca05876
Is their any advantage to using the profile in the above post? The profiles linked here are just for those who want to stay on 1809, right?

@drastic00 It has same game profiles that you have in the driver you're using. So no, you don't need them.

Interesting feature that I forgot about in 3DMigoto.....
3DMigoto 1.2.50 and later includes support for logging and updating driver profiles, and correctly handles encrypted settings. The undocumented option [Logging] dump_all_profiles=1 can be used to have it decrypt and log every profile instead of just the ones relevant to the game being run.

I was hoping that someone using the newest driver could try this feature [Logging] dump_all_profiles=1 and attach the result here.

And/or

Could someone familiar with Python use the Profile Python Script by DSS linked here
https://raw.githubusercontent.com/DarkS ... rofiles.py

Why?

You can install your driver profiles by taking the newest files and overwrite it. You can use this tool to do this, even if you dont want to install the a new/other driver, a PROFILE UPDATE ONLY function is build in.

viewtopic.php?f=105&t=25361

Just choose NO if you where asked for "quick change" and you will reach the main menu, if you never have used this tool. Than you can press KEY 9 to install latest profiles. If you have used this tool for installing a driver, you are asked if you want to install latest profiles after starting it again and an update is available.

If you still need the dumped profiles from migoto for what ever you need it, just let me know, i can do this for you.

I was interested in a new profile dump with definitions for game tweaks, the last one I have is from a long time ago.
I wanted to see if there are new stereo texture enables or StereoFlagsDX10, among other things.

The last one I have
376.33 NVIDIA Profiles-cleaned.txt

So i can dump if for you from the latest driver. But Stereofalgs are not new. Because its not needed since NV skipped 3DV.

I'm sorry,I thought that the 3DMigoto option dumped the settings in a parsed/cleaned state with definitions. it seems that it does not.

Can you use that python script on them, if you know how?

I got the current version here, from DSS
http://darkstarsword.net/profiles/376.3 ... leaned.txt
But there never was an updated version and I know nothing about Python.
