Hi, I am thinking about ordering this deepoon headset and was wondering if it has a tracker for 6dof or 3 dof movement. I can't see ordering it if it doesn't even though it seems pretty decent for Vr with the omoled's and 120 degree fov.

http://www.ebay.ca/itm/DEEPOON-E2-Virtu ... SwKfVXGI3i

Its around 300 to 400 CAN for me and does not come with positional tracking or a controller

Also what games would it support, do I have to use tridef with it?

Is it better to wait until oculus has a sale on its headset? My budget is around 400-500 bucks with shipping

Thanks for your reply.

So I am going to caution at buying the deepoon, But I was going to buy it then save again for the rift or OSVR headset and see both in action.

Since you bring up the OSVR headset, the specs seem good

1. will I be able to use steam Vr with this headset
2. what move controllers can I use with it, will razor make some controller for it. - most likely
3. its $599 CAN and free shipping so I can buy it but its over 100 over my budget
4. oculus rift is $599 American dollars so add almost 200 for currency exchange its now $800 dollars CAN, is it better to save a buy this instead of OSVR even though I might pay 300-400 dollars more?
5. Can I use vereio with OSVR? or is it only for Rift and VIVE

Thanks for the help Dilip

If you can buy deepoon and rift or deepoon and osvr I can advice osvr and rift would be much
Sensible of all these combinatios as it offers tracking and may be positional tracking too.
Which is absent in deepoon also osvr are user upgradable if some day 4k screen release
You won't need to buy whole device again just buy screen upgrade and it's done.

For vireo why don't you ask in vireo forums on MTBs?? It's very active.

We can also request Neil to review HDK2 I think Razer would be
More than happy to send demo unit to MTBs. What you think???

Yeah so I think I might order the OSVR headset soon, as long as it had tracking in games like dirt3 or rally and some others and can play steam vr games i'll be good.

I'll ask neil about the osvr headset and i'll ask in the vireio forums, it sounds good.

are you ordering a headset dilip?

I wish I could, my country has prohibitive duty and insane shipping charges, not to mention no warranty or RMA support.
So my hmd is faar as of now, I have tried Rift DK2 Eite dangerous, and HTC vive (The Lab & RAW DATA) so have first hand
(Both at my developer friends place) experience of two amazing hmds and I know good detail of their working.
Vive is super fantastico......Costly too.

Here one more interesting tidbit
http://venturebeat.com/2016/09/02/osvr- ... -vr-games/

Also
https://github.com/OSVR/SteamVR-OSVR

And
https://steamcommunity.com/app/382110/d ... 944698567/

So OSVR is much better to deepoon YET INFIRIOR to Vive or Rift...
Both makers of OSVR, Razor is trustworthy & Sensics known for professional VR.

Hey, so I ordered the Razor H2DK osvr headset today for $599 CAN free shipping, I'm not sure what the tax will be yet and I get it delivered in around 7 days or less is what they said.

Apart from the price I think it will be a decent headset, I seen some reviews on youtube and checked out the links you gave here.

The glove one Vr glove would be nice and these gloves should come out soon

I really want to play dirt3 or Grid from codemasters in Vr, I have a racing wheel from Logitech that I used to play grid with free track headtracking

Do post detailed review once you have hands on OSVR.. Also a nice YouTube video will get even better.
