[beginner] Getting data into Processing and/or MaxMSP

So grateful I found FreePIE today, it is stable and connects reliably to my Wii Motion+ Remote. (I was getting nowhere with GlovePIE).
Can anyone advise on the best way to get data from FreePIE into a Processing sketch, or possibly into Max/MSP?
Perhaps via OSC? How would I go about implementing Python OSC?
