Hi guys,
I want to know if is it possible to use a wiimote as a inertial motion capture input for vr.
My idea is to use wiimote + motion plus + nunchuk like this :
So connection will be :
1°) Nunchuk in hand cable connected to the wii motion plus on the forearm.
2°) Wii motion plus on the forearm conected to the wiimote via wiimote cable extender
3°) the wiimote is attached on the upper arm like the guys on the photo .
So we can get movement poistion of the arm and forearm by the wiimote and the motion plus but for the nunckuck , i dont know if he can be used as a air mouse ??
then we control avatar on unity and have a semi body tracking.
Any suggestion ?

Re: VR Wiimote Mocap
The concept makes sense, but I'm not sure it would work well in practice.
As far as I can tell, the Nunchuck doesn't have a gyro. So you probably won't get good orientation values from it.
I guess you could think about just using 4 Wiimotes, not sure if that would cause any issues with Bluetooth bandwidth or whatever.
Hope that helps.
