AMD made a presentation which shows what to expect from them in 2009.

"Increased availability of 3D stereoscopic displays" is listed in seventh position.
Whatever that means. But it shows that they know there is a big market to enter.
Will AMD release S3D driver in 2009?

Did IZ3d ever tell us which company they have been secretly working with on 3d driver stuff?
If AMD wants to take advantage of Nvidia's poor decision to only support it's own shutter glasses and specific manufacturers displays, now would be a good time. I for one am waiting to be able to use my Sharp XR-10x DLP projector with the shutter glasses I already own on modern games with a modern OS.
After feeling left out in the cold by Nvidia, I would gladly drop them, support AMD, and encourage others to support AMD as long as AMD comes out with 3d support for all major hardware and keeps the software up-to-date.
