create own map for half life 2 + oculus rift? + razer hydra?

Hello people out there,
I'm very sorry to disturb you but I have a very important question (most of you may probably think that it's quite easy)
I have no idea about gaming and stuff but I'm about to plan a study at a german university. For this I need to know if the mods for razor hydra and oculus rift are also working with maps I created myself. The Game we want to use is half life 2. And the tool for creating the map is Source SDK 2013 (Steam). Do you think it's possible? I hope somebody can help me. Best regards. VRahnungslos
