Diablo 3 Oculus Rift GamePlay Mock-up
Made by capturing a 60fps video with 3dVision and FRAPS (Shadow Play 3d capture is broken at the moment). Next, I played the video back in stereoscopic player, recapturing the results with Fraps again. Feels like it would be very playable. I didn't get any VR sickness; however, more resolution would be needed to read the gui.
I think that this is an accurate representation of a simplified way to port almost any existing game to the Rift. Simply render what you have now onto a virtual stereoscopic screen, and implement head tracking based on the virtual screen. Thoughts?
