Any tutorials on build an EDID spoofer?

I'm in the process of building my own HMD and also attempting to appear to the computer as a 100% rift via using the same sensors https://github.com/yetifrisstlama/Focul ... 3DISCOVERY. But I also need to make an EDID spoofer for the display. Are there any tutorials for making one anywhere? Or at least any tips? Thanks!

I'm having similar problems. The developer of that firmware managed to rewrite the EDID on his board using an SPI bus on his devboard - http://yetifrisstlama.blogspot.fr/2014/ ... -edid.html - but, well, that's a bit beyond me. I'd also like to have a fully functional rift clone, and there doesn't seem to be much information out there regarding EDID spoofing.

I put up some more pictures today, and I will later this weekend put up some images showing how to use the PonyProg software, its not to hard to make a EDID spoofer, but it requires you to know how to solder, also I got lucky on the 1280x800 LCD I ordered it can use the unedited Oculus Rift DK1 EDID, all you have to do is, configure/setup the PonyProg software, load the Oculus Rift DK1 EDID into PonyProg software, and use the PonyProg software to flash the chip, the chip is then ready to use in the EDID spoofer.

I will still go over how to edit the EDID should anyone need that, likely early next week.

A few people are having trouble viewing some of my images so I downloaded the imgur.com pages and images, I tried to remove everything not needed to view the images and text, and I tested the pages with my Internet disconnected to make sure they work off-line, hopefully this will help.

This is an updated EDID spoofer that should work for most people, the first one that I made was apparently not very compatible, this is a ZIP file with an off-line version of the new EDID spoofer imgur Album.

This EDID spoofer uses a few more parts and uses a 24LC21 chip.

I forgot to add, the Write Enable / Disable Jumper works like this:

Jumper installed = Write Disable
Jumper removed = Write Enable

This is with 75Hz refresh rate added, 75Hz refresh will likely not work, but you can still use lower refresh rates.
