Vireio questions on Bioshock and Black Mesa

I've played a lot of demos with my Oculus Rift since i received it last week. I decided to try playing Bioshock with Vireio but couldn't get it to work. Tried placing the .dll files in the bioshock folder on steam, running administrator nothing. So i decided to try Black Mesa, was hopping -vr would work with the game but it didn't. So i placed the .dll of Vireo and i was playing Black Mesa in the rift I tried messing with the setting to get the best possible clear image i was seeing in the rift. My only problem while in the game it feels like im playing with binoculars on.
