Interactive Full 360° Stereo Panorama Viewer for 3D Vision

Post by highla »

Hello,

is there any solution yet for displaying full 360° stereo panoramas with nvidia 3D Vision glasses? I could not find any viewer for this scenario.
I only found soure code for flat image viewers like this one: http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=105&t=5072
Are there any suggestions on how to implement this with directx for 3d Vision output? Would it be possible to render two camera views of two different spheres or skyboxes with left and right images mapped to i realtime? And then passing this two images to a surface created with "CreateOffscreenPlainSurface" like for the stereo video output.

Sorry for my bad english ;)

Yeah, it's been a year, but this is still a great question!

A free open source 3D player / image viewer - sView http://www.sview.ru/en has support for 3D Vision, and many other solutions, and can render spherical (equirectangular), and the new gear VR style 18432x1536 cube maps. It was just updated this weekend.

It's a great lightweight piece of software with a lot of features.
