Just Cause 2 crashes with IZ3D

Is it possible to run Just Cause 2 with IZ3D? So far it's worked with pretty much everything else I've tried (source games, borderlands), but if the driver is enabled and I start JC2 it crashes to black before the menu loads. So far I've tried turning off the steam overlay and turning off DX10 in the IZ3D settings, but the former does nothing and the later results in a directx code 4 e_fail crash.

I'm running the 1.13 version of the driver on an asus g60j. Any tips, or is it just borked?

Iz3D has poor support for Dx10/11. I would try disabling Dx10 support altogether (in the IZ3D driver) and also forcing JC2 to run in Dx9.

Thanks for the advice, but it still doesn't work. If I disable DX10 support in IZ3D's settings it gives me the directx e_fail even if I set JC2 to -dxlevel 90.

I think there are general trouble to make it work. Borneomike seems to run it with dx11 enabled. I'm not 100% certain if it's really in 3d though.
Some more links. Unfortunately no solution on how to make it work.

If you have an nvidia card you can try revert to older drivers (if it's possible: try to install a driver par on to the games date or a little newer).
