This was suprisingly good entertainment for me. The IMAX 3D was really really nice. The 3D is native 3D and is weak at times. But I feel the 3D added to the overall enjoyment and was worth the added cost.
Chief's score card:
Story: 8.0
Acting: 7.5
Special effects: 8.0
3D: 7.5/7.75
Final Score: 7.50

Re: Jack The Giant Slayer: IMAX 3D
We went to see this at the cinema a couple of weeks ago in 3D. It was a great fun movie, loved the giants but the 3D really seemed to be hit and miss and almost a wasted opportunity. There were a few stand out moments but if the studios cant implement 3D into movies that are more CG than live then it's not surprising many have little faith in the future of 3D (IMO of course)
I'm hoping it may be a better 3D bluray experience..I found the cinema image a little washed out..
