Hi,

I want to play 3D Blu-ray discs.
This monitor is passvie 3D (interlaced) and connected via DVI.

I have to buy CiberLink PowerDVD for 100,-, is it?
And the CyberLink BD adviser my monitor didn't pass.

You could use TriDef 3D? Plays Blu-Ray movies in 3D quite well

I bough PowerDVD 13 Ultimate in the meantime.

Anyway, it is new for me that TriDef can play Blu-ray 3D. I thought only some exotic 3D- DVDs are compatible. Is this a new feature added in the last weeks?

Oh wait sorry I was mistaken! It doesn't play Blu-Ray. How about ripping the Blu-Ray movie to 3D using DVDFab? I see it has a feature for ripping Blu-Ray movies which also gives the option to convert the 2D to 3D. I haven't tried it yet but it seems like it could work quite well. I've ripped normal DVD's and converted them to 3D using DVDFab. So try it with Blu-Ray and let me know how it works.

As I meantioned above, you can use DVDFab to rip Blu-Ray movies. You can rip both 2D and 3D movies. You can also convert the ripped movies from 2D to 3D if you wish to do so. Here is a quick overview of the features taken from their official website.

"DVDFab Blu-ray Ripper (3D Plus) now is enhanced
to be able to rip any 3D Blu-ray to 3D videos
besides ripping 2D Blu-rays to 2D videos. This
ever stronger Blu-ray Ripper saves your energy,
time, and money to do more jobs and deals with
all your Blu-ray (2D & 3D) ripping issues, so that
you can watch any Blu-ray on your 2D and 3D
devices with the help from just one tool. It's easy
and flexible to use, and is superior with fast speed
and high quality. And it keeps being updated to
always support the latest Blu-ray releases and
new devices.

•Rip any 2D Blu-rays to various 2D videos
•Rip any 3D Blu-rays to various 3D videos
•Customizable video parameters and effect (2D &
3D)"

I personally haven't used this myself, but it should be the solution for what you're looking for. Check out their official website for more info.
