Hi,
I'm new to 3d other then anaglyph and just thought it is time to buy a 3d monitor.
My graphics card has 2 DVI-I ports but I have no idea if these support DVI-D.
After searching I've settled on Samsung S23A700D which needs DVI-D.
This is my Graphics Card: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/NVID ... ifications
Do you think there would be any problems connecting that monitor through DVI socket?
(I know this monitor doesn't support nvidia 3d vision btw)
Thanks in advance.

Re: Does DVI-I support DVI-D
DVI-I has all the necessary signals for DVD-D so the answer is yes. DVI-I is similar to DVI-D but also have the analogue vga-signals in the interface.

Re: Does DVI-I support DVI-D
Thank you very much, I read same thing in a few forums but when I called the distributor here of Asus, they told me "DVI-I is analog and DVI-D is digital, they wouldn't work even with a converter".Likay wrote:DVI-I has all the necessary signals for DVD-D so the answer is yes. So just wanted to make sure.
