Re: November shipments status?
I've been on all day (from 8am GMT) 4 screens full of browsers each with 8 tabs open (different combinations of searches) F5'ing them all day long.
Got to go work in 2 1/2 hours, like that is going to happen, I will phone in sick and tell tho boss my leg fell of while I was asleep, he might fall for it.
I think i my have a problem

I think you guys need to chill. Go to bed, maybe it'll be up by the time you awake.
I don't think we're releasing anything really radical, so don't get your hopes too high - it's just the next installment of updates.

The best cure for this nervous anticipation is just to build one yourself. The DIY instructions have been available for months.

Or what if I'm trying to make you guys think it's nothing special, when it actually is, so you'll be even more excited?Namielus wrote:I can already see some peoples downspiral starting right from that statement.Dycus wrote:I think you guys need to chill. I myself keep myself calm, I was just worried about the mental health of certain people.Dycus wrote:Or what if I'm trying to make you guys think it's nothing special, when it actually is, so you'll be even more excited?
They could easily be bummed out enough by your warning that they go crying in a corner.

You must understand, Dycus, we are now to these updates as a child is to the infrequent visits of an absentee father...Dycus wrote:I think you guys need to chill. Go to bed, maybe it'll be up by the time you awake.

though brief and, perhaps, relatively uneventful...
the occasion of each one is, thus, made all... the more... PRECIOUS

But it's so simple. All I have to do is divine it from what I know of you.Dycus wrote:Or what if I'm trying to make you guys think it's nothing special, when it actually is, so you'll be even more excited?
Are you the sort of man who would put the poison into his own goblet or his enemies?
Now, a clever man would put the poison into his own goblet because he would know that only a great fool would reach for what he was given.
I am not a great fool so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of you...
But you must have known I was not a great fool; you would have counted on it, so I can clearly not choose the wine in front of me.

I hope Palmer won't mind my quoting him directly, but from an email he sent me Sept. 26, 2012 (and I haven't heard anything since):jayoh wrote:there's been no real official word, but i'm under the impression fully assembled and shipped with the first batch.JackJack80 wrote:Any status update for those unassembled rift ?
"I will make sure you are taken care of. I will be setting up a special pre-Kickstarter order page before we ship."
