Does anybody want to join the multiplayer demonstration ? I need someone with a rift + hydra, good codecs in their mediaplayer and an enthusiastic attitude.¨
Voicechat is not yet implemented so skype is needed too.
I need 3-4 more people, and it should happen tomorrow. Will have a more specific time as soon as I hear back from the other participants.

I would if I had my rift buddy. I do have a hydra and every codec EVAR.

The software will be provided shortly before the session begins. This is to avoid anyone having the urge to sneak peek.
I want to capture the experience you have for the first time while testing the stuff

Hmm... Too much proprietary stuff visible in my office for a camera. And the "skype" laptop in the living room does not have DVI or HDMI outputs. Another time maybe...

Oh, what is skype for then? Just talking? Or just getting started up?

I tried contacting fluesnapper1 on Skype, but it says "Busy"... I have a spare half hour or so, but now way to contact you it seems... Perhaps rescheduling would be better, and a way to get things setup in advance?

Yes, that is my wife's skype account. Please remove it from your post. I wish to remain anonymous.

Hmm... In about 30 mins wife will be home, and she wants to go to the chinese restaurant. Always hungry when she gets home, so she will be anxious to go...

I do not have skype on this computer, and I do not remember MY skype password. I always use hers since I broke my Nexus 7 (and remove my contacts later). Does skype allow multiple accounts on the same computer?

Another day would be much better for me (and earlier in the day, do prevent conflict with wife's schedule). And I probably need to setup skype on this machine too.

I would love to experience this in a group. I think VR social networks (with gaming and exploration tours) will be the killer app for VR.

Sorry about the exposed nick, I believe you can log into skype with any account on the same computer.
I am just waiting for a few more people and we will be able to go live.

Sounds awesome, but bad timing for me. Wife is coming home earlier than usual today. Will there be a "next time"? I would love to participate.

I got to try the Virtual Lounge today and I have to say, it was great.
There are tons of objects to interact with, and there is a variety of areas to explore.
I really think this could become a system seller for some people that want to have meetings over long distance

I am going to back this Kickstarter day one!
I should not forgot to mention flying fish heads!

I'm pretty envious of those who got to try this. Have yet to receive my rift, and thus I'm left with only hydras. Can't wait to see a proper video of it.

Just excited to hear about progress being made. I have sworn off Kickstarter after dumping too much money into vapor ware but this project already has money earmarked in my budget. Can't wait to help fund your work.
