The Amazing Spiderman: IMAX 3D

Post by Chiefwinston »

The reboot of the spiderman franchise is actually a pretty good summer flic. Unfortunately the 3D is very faint. If your looking for a good 3D movie- this is not it. I lost the 3D perception just minutes into the show and it didn't come back. I was expecting much more from an IMAX 3D showing. But It wasn't a complete waste of time. Its a good, exciting, and enjoyable ride-even if its a remake, already(http://www.mtbs3d.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?f=132&t=13632). So here's my score card.

Chief's score card:
Story: 9
Acting: 8.5
Special effects: 9.5
Music: 10 (really outstanding score)
3D: 5.00/5.25 (this is being generous)

Final Score: 9.0

Go for a good time, but forget about the 3D.

Strange. The 3D trailer (the first person one) was actually one of the more amazing things I've seen at the cinema.

Good Movie but almost FLAT 3D
Andrew seems Teen Age but weak Spidey

liked concept of LiMiTed Web Cartridges (Scientifically Appropriate) it fits more as Spider Bite may make your Reflexes and Muscles Mutated but its too much to believe introduce Webbing Producing Gland in your Hand

Missing Links
=> Spidey without a reason leaves chase of Uncle's killer
=> Spidey Just left Search of His parents

Last Chase was Good though Jumping through big apple wasn't that deep
in end spidey came out of screen (Lots a +Z)

I liked the film, but the 3D was pretty flat. In the scenes in FPV, it was ok, but still not as much depth as it needed for better immersion.
The film, to me, was better then the last ones. Better characters, plot, etc.

Agree with you. I was able to watch it on its premiere on 3D ... The movie is much better than the last one but the 3D was not soo good. It was flat almost all time. I was waiting and waiting to see something catchy deep 3D but not.. : /
